7 Weirdest Dance Videos You’ll Ever See

When certain songs come on the radio, they make you want to drop everything you’re doing and freaking dance. If you create an original and baffling enough dance, you just might become a YouTube sensation for confused viewers to gawk at.

Butter? Check. Glow in the dark Chihuahua? Check. Here are 7 of the weirdest dance videos you will ever see.

Rubber Johnny

Richard David James, better known by his stage name Aphex Twin, has been described as “the most inventive and influential figure in contemporary electronic music”. His and Chris Cunningham’s video “Rubber Johnny” is unlike anything you’ll ever see, and is both cool and absolutely terrifying. Please don’t watch this if you’re already afraid of Chihuahuas.

Butter Dance

What do you get when you combine a dangerously curvaceous woman and blocks of butter? Pure goodness. Sexy and delicious, the butter dance is more than artistic movement – it’s a challenge. Seriously, every fall looks really painful. You try standing up in all that.

Tube Suit Dance

The tube suit dance is something you dream up when you’re trippin’ real good and are feeling super nostalgic about your childhood slinky. If you could get your slinkies to do this, they’d still be crazy popular.

Cybergoth Dance Party

If you want to learn some great moves for your next rave, these Hot Topic loving adolescents have got you covered, especially if you’re next dance session is taking place during the day under a bridge. But don’t pay attention to the clown with the squeak toy. He just ruins the vibe…he’s not even wearing black.

Late for Meeting

“Late for Meeting” is the second installment of David Lewandowski’s series of a naked, computer-generated man sort of dance-walking around to happy music. It’s really popular and odd as hell. Also, check out the first installment, “Going to the Store,” for more weirdness.

Cartoon Girl

During the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) 2011, an annual student ballet competition, 12-year-old Gaya Bommer won first prize for “Cartoon Girl.” Very creepy, unsettlingly awesome, and, come on, what other song could be more fitting?

Nathan Barnatt

And of course, we’ve got good ol’ Nathan Barnatt, making us laugh hysterically and teaching us all how to do the hot dance moves (No Bones!) like we know what’s up.

These videos might all be bizarre, but some of them have crossed the threshold of being so weird that they are undeniably creative and cool. One thing’s for sure: we just can’t look away…not even from the goth ravers.
