How to Rock the Disney Princess 70s Look

The 70s is back in vogue. Designers brought their beloved silhouettes back to the catwalk in their Spring/Summer 2015 collections. And the revival is not over yet. We saw the ecclectic pieces of the decade take center stage once more in the Fall/Winter fashion shows.

Get ready with flares, peasant blouses, and midis. Throw in some suedes, velvets, and coldoroys in the mix, too, because the 70s is definitely back to rock you.

Of course, our ever-stylish gals over at Disney are way ahead of us. They’re already chilling out in their 70s look. Check it out; plus, inspirations on how to re-create their 70s vibes.

Retro Jasmine

Jasmine’s retro look is  all about the flare. In this outfit, she has on a bell bottom jumpsuit paired with gold pieces of jewelry.

This seafoam/mint palazzo jumpsuit from JC Penney is perfect if you want to channel your inner retro Jasmine. Just look at those flared legs and that adorable crochet detail. Pick out some golden jewelry to complete the look, and you’re set to go.

Retro Mulan

Mulan’s retro look takes elements from both men’s and women’s fashion. The pussy blouse gives the soft, feminine touch to her outfit, but the suspender pants hardens the look a bit.

Retro Rapunzel

Rapuzel’s look is a dress with floral details, most probably inspired by the hippie and bohemian fashion styles of the decade. Flowers accessorize her look pretty well.

Retro Aurora

Aurora’s 70s-inspired get up is a combination of a corduroy mini-skirt over opaque tights, paired with a tie-dye button-up.

Suede mini-skirts it is!

We haven’t forgotten about those tights. Here are some to try. Check out the one with chevron patterns.

Retro Ariel

Ariel went with the bell bottoms or flare pants, which she paired with a striped fitted tee. She accessorized her 70s-inspired look with a leather belt and a pair of great ankle boots.

You gotta love the bell bottom pants with lace at the sides. How about this flower-printed pair? Or you can just keep it clean and simple.

As for striped shirts, here are a few of your choices:

A belt and a nice pair of ankle boots will complete the look. Here are a few suggestions:

Retro Snow White

Snow White’s retro look consists of a poufy sleeve top with a Peter Pan collar and wide-leg pants in contrasting colors. She accessorized with a belt to complete the retro-inspired look.

Retro Pocahontas

Pocahontas is wearing a trending style this season: the fringe. A bell-sleeved mustard top under her suede vest and some turquoise jewelry completes her look. All she needs now are some cowboy hats and boots. Yehaw!
