Anyone who has been following the trends will see that we are rapidly approaching over-saturated territory with these “holidays” but for whatever reason people just can’t seem to get enough!

So why not take a closer look at some of the craziest holidays in August to start planning the road trips and parties accordingly.

We won’t call it a drinking game but if you were to take a sip every time a plant or animal was mentioned we promise not to hold it against you.

Crazy Holidays Of August… Who Has Some Extra Zucchini?

A Holiday A Day

First off are the month-long holidays and celebrations:

• Family Fun Month
• National Catfish Month
• National Eye Exam Month
• National Golf Month
• Peach Month
• Romance Awareness Month
• Water Quality Month

Then we have a few week-specific observances:

• Week 1: National Simplify your Life Week

• Week 3: Friendship Week
• Week 4: Be Kind to Humankind Week

Then we get into the nitty-gritty with the day by day revelries.

Some of the holidays I look forward to the most are Frankenstein Day (08/30), Relaxation Day (08/15), and Sneak Some Zucchini onto Your Neighbor’s Porch Day (08/08).
