It’s hard to deny that Iceland is one of the most beautiful countries on earth. In one day of traveling around the island, you can witness live volcanoes, lava flows, insanely gorgeous landscapes, massive glaciers, and the vibrant capitol of Reykjavik. It’s an almost unbelievable destination filled with ravishing surprises around every corner.

Iceland is also home to some of the world’s most gorgeous women (four of such women have won the grand prize at large international beauty contests) and amazing musicians like the universally-celebrated band Sigur Rós (for an awe-inspiring and visceral tour around the countryside set to the beautiful music of Sigur Rós, check out their documentary film:Heima).

From the quaint cafes under colored rooftops to the wild landscapes surrounding the island, it’s a tourists dream. And surprisingly, airfare and lodging is extremely cheap in comparison to other European countries; Seattle, Washington, is the sister-city of  Reykjavik and charters flights directly there on the country’s own airline: Icelandic Air.
