Stephen Colbert is a cultural phenomenon (it’s true, the internet says so) that has shaped the voice of late night for many other newcomers (like James Corden), so this week we thought we’d bring you a few of our favorite moments from his run as Late Show host.

Many know him as the lovable idiot that followed Jon Stewart on Comedy Central’s late night block, and die-hard fans will recognize him as the voice of POTUS on Monsters Vs. Aliens, and recently (last year) he took over the reins of the Late Show on CBS with aplomb (even with recent rumors that a “reboot” of the show is in the works) and has created some of the most memorable moments of his career.

This is likely our first of many “Greatest Colbert Moments” so keep your eyes peeled and let us know if you hate or love them!
