10 Ways of Eating Pizza for National Pizza Month

October is National Pizza Month. Yes, that’s an entire month devoted to our favorite Italian dish, the pizza.

Americans love pizza. There’s no denying that. But if you want to take your pizza experience to the next level, why not try eating pizza differently?

Here are 10 ways of eating pizza in honor of National Pizza Month.

1. Pizza Sub

This video shows you how to make a very basic pizza sub. You need only three ingredients to get things rolling: submarine buns, pizza sauce, and mozzarella cheese. That’s it.

You can top this with any kind of meat, veggie, or fruit. You can basically re-create your favorite pizza variant with this recipe as your base.

2. Pizza Bagel

Rebecca Brand shows us how to make pizza bagels in this video. These pizza bagels are great for kids lunch. They’re very easy to make and you can even have your kids make these bagels themselves.

3. Waffle Pizza Pockets

Waffles + pizza is a match made in breakfast heaven. Watch the video or read this tutorial.

4. Pizza on Veggies

If you’re kids hate veggies, but love pizza, maybe you should try making them these pizza on veggies. It’s a pizza, but instead of dough you use veggies like potato or zucchini.

5. Pizza Donuts

Now here’s something interesting. Why not make a donut into a pizza (or vice versa)?

The video shows you how to incorporate pizza ingredients like cheese, marinara sauce, and pepperoni and actually turn it into a donut.

Bake the dough, add your preferred “toppings,” and then bake again for a few minutes. And tada! Pizza is served in a cone. How about that?
