The holidays have come and gone and so follows the depressing slow climb to next year. Why grovel in self-pity? It’s time to spend those tears on something a little more uplifting! Go ahead, grab that tissue box with pride and get ready for our list of the top 5 greatest animal adoption videos of 2015.

5. Aaron In California
Kick-starting our list is this little tear-jerker from September in which a very frightened terrier named Aaron was saved from the blazing California sun before being cleaned up and moved into foster care. It’s just another reminder that even homeless animals need security and love. We can make the change.
4. Zuzi And The Forever Home
A pre-adoption video, that led to the eventual adoption, of a happy Zuzi. Also included is a Facebook post of Zuzi at her forever home! Good times.
The folks at Howl Of A Dog had this to say, “ZUZI is doing absolutely amazing at her forever home: has settled in very well, like she always belonged there…”

Not so much an adoption video as it is a very important compilation showing the before and after emotional impact that animal adoptions can have on our furry, sometimes feathery, and sometimes scaly, little friends.

According to Town & Country, “When one sweet pup was left alone at Carson Animal Care Center, a high-kill shelter in Gardena, California, he sat for weeks not knowing what his future would hold. But everything changed for Benny when a family recently adopted him into their loving home. Our #1 pick is quite possibly the most epic adoption video of the year and it involves a very not-so-nice prank followed by an absolutely amazing twist. We dare you to keep a dry eye during this one.
Heart-warming videos are one thing, but real action is needed. We highly recommend you visit your local animal shelter, especially high kill shelters, if you have even the slightest inclination of animal adoption. They all deserve good homes, and many want that home, but few ever see life beyond those chain-link walls and that’s a shame.
