Yin Peng included face masks in a collection called “smog couture”; Masha Ma had her models wear Swarovski crystal-studded face masks. Hong Kong-based Nina Griffee collaborated with filter-mask manufacturer Vogmask in one of her collections last year.

People with asthma or allergies don’t need to contend with wearing those simple, boring face masks anymore. Retailers are providing them with face masks that provide both function and fashion.

British company Freka offers a fashionable unisex face mask with a replaceable vitaliser. The vitaliser is the part that purifies the air as you inhale.

It has an ergonomic design, which is a fancy way of saying it will fit or mold to your face’s unique shape. It has a nose fit adjuster, too.

The mask is “inspired by the classic styling of British tailoring” and has been described as “elegant, almost chic.” It’s available for pre-order now and will be hitting shelves this month.

Vogmask‘s N99 face masks can filter harmful particles effectively. It comes in organic cotton and microfiber variants that mold to the wearer’s face over time. It comes in four sizes and can be rinsed or wiped clean. 

Respro

Respro is another British company selling face masks. It has been doing so for more than 20 years. The company offers two different types of filters suitable for the city or for the countryside. The masks come with removable and replaceable filters and valves. Once these two parts are removed, the mask can be washed normally.
