If you were just the right age during the late 1990s and early 2000s, you may remember plopping down in front of the TV and tuning in to the Disney Channel to watch one of their awesome movies. We’re not talking about Cinderella or Pocahontas; we’re referring to what they call: Disney Channel Original Movies. They’re made specifically for TV, and for many of us, they hold a very dear place in our hearts. Here are some of those movies that sincerely make us wish we were kids again.
Soul-Skaters versus Team X-Bladz! Andy and friends skate just for the fun of it, while Val and company skate for the money. Inline skating never looked so cool.

Belonging to a family of superheroes is tough, especially when you’re the only one without super powers. But when you have to save the day, at least your weakness isn’t aluminum foil, like the rest of them.
One of the more touching Disney Channel Original Movies, The Color of Friendship focuses on two girls; one from the US, and the other from South Africa visiting as an exchange student, who unexpectedly become friends.
Andrea Carson’s twin brother gets hurt just before a big motocross race, so with the help of her mother, she secretly competes in his place…since her dad says she can’t ride because she’s a girl.

Based on the lives of pro basketball players Heather and Heidi Burge, the movie explores their sibling rivalry, sometimes strained relationship with their father, and love for one another. Aww.
If you were to watch these movies now, you might not have the same reaction you did as a kid. But hey, it’s worth a try. Some of these movies are currently available on Youtube and VHS!
